IMPORTANT: AT FEM&M OUR FEMINISM IS INTERSECTIONAL.
“Intersectionality”
“the complex, cumulative manner in which the effects of different forms of discrimination combine, overlap, or intersect”(MERRIAM-WEBSTER).
Intersectional feminism has only recently become “mainstream” in politics and social media. Intersectionality addresses and challenges the historical dominance of typically white, cis-gendered, and able-bodied women as general representations of gender discrimination.
Through verbal and visual art, FEM&M seeks to address tactics that are used to discriminate women and gender minorities whose voices are often unheard.
